Training

I believe that training plays an integral role in achieving outdoor goals – from a fitness perspective (mental and physical) and a hard skills perspective. My original educational training is in kinesiology and I worked in the fitness industry for a number of years, thus when it comes to training for mountain adventures I enjoy trying to dial in what I need to do to prepare for my mountain goals. I have naturally unstable joints and my body has a tendency to slow down dramatically once I put on an overnight pack, so training is vital for me to reach my goals. I’m in the process of figuring out my goals for winter 2016/17 and spring/summer 2017, and the corresponding training regime. I plan to populate this section with content from these three categories: physical, mental, and hard skills training to give you something to think about when preparing for your next mountain adventure!
